About Us

Pawsavvy Guide is a cat care site written by someone who actually lives with cats. Not a copywriter reading from a spec sheet, not a brand team with a content calendar. Just me, my two rescue cats, and a long list of things I wish someone had told me before I brought them home.

Who’s behind this site

I’m a lifelong cat owner. I’ve raised kittens, managed senior cats with chronic health issues, and lived through every stage of “why is my cat doing that” — from 3 a.m. zoomies to the mystery of the shredded couch. My cats are not props for content; they’re the reason this site exists. When I test a product, they test it with me, and they have no idea they’re being watched.

Why I started this site

When I got my first cat, I did what everyone does: I read a dozen articles, bought a bunch of stuff, and still got most of it wrong. The advice was generic, the reviews were copy-paste, and the product pages were full of claims nobody had actually verified. I started Pawsavvy Guide to write the kind of articles I needed back then — honest, practical, and written by someone who has cleaned up the aftermath.

This site covers cat care basics, feeding and nutrition, product reviews, and buying guides. Everything I recommend is something I’ve either used myself or tested with my own cats. When I haven’t tested something, I say so.

What I believe

Three rules guide everything on this site. First, honesty beats polish: if a product is overpriced or overhyped, I’ll tell you. Second, real experience beats theory: I write about what actually happened, not what should happen in a perfect world. Third, your cat is an individual: what worked for mine might not work for yours, so I explain the “why” behind every recommendation instead of just handing you a list.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope this site saves you some money, some stress, and maybe a trip to the pet store for something your cat will ignore anyway.
